NZICA Wellington was delighted to be joined by NZICA President Richard Austin, to recognise our 2012 Fellows and life member, at our Presidential Dinner at the InterContinental Wellington on Friday 11 May. For a full overview of the evening and to read more click here.

Nick Tansley was MC to 85 guests including NZICA CEO Terry McLaughlin and Vice President Liz Hickey. It was particularly special that our member’s partners, families and friends could attend to celebrate the achievements of these members with us.

Following some excellent food, wine and entertainment Andrew Johnston, Wellington Leadership Chair, kicked off the awards presentation.

This year our award recipients selected their own representative to introduce them as they received their awards. This really gave a personal touch to each presentation which was most enjoyable for everyone who gathered to celebrate this occasion.

Life Membership is the highest accolade in our profession. For a member to qualify for Life Membership, they must be a person of high personal character and be beyond reproach in every respect.  Congratulations to David Macdonald FCA (Hon Retired) who was presented with his Life Membership certificate at the ceremony.

Fellowships are awarded to members who have given outstanding service to the profession or brought distinction to it over and above the normal course of their job. Congratulations to Frank Owen FCA, Brian Roche FCA and Rhys Barlow FCA, three well deserved members who received their Fellowship certificates and pins.

We were very lucky to have the support of a number of our existing Life members from around New Zealand in attendance at the dinner.

Thank you to all of our members and guests for making this occasion a memorable one. Click here to view some photos from the evening.
