NZICA make submission on auditor regulation

Following the consultation paper on various aspects of the Auditor Regulation Act 2011, NZICA has made a submission to the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) on behalf of members.

Proposals commented on included:

  • Minimum standards an auditor must meet to be licensed
  • The kinds of conditions which a license may be subject to
  • Minimum standards an audit firm must meet in order to be registered
  • Criteria that individuals and firms must meet to be eligible for the  transitional provisions of the Act.
