Sustainability
The Group welcomes members of the Institute and others with interests
in sustainability from anywhere in New Zealand. With a specific focus on
accountants the Group seeks to complement the work of other entities
working in the sustainability area.
The Group sees accountants as powerful agents of change encouraging,
assisting and supporting entities take a sustainability approach.
The Group's vision is to improve business practice from a sustainability
perspective.
The core areas of activity are:
- education
- promotion
- reporting.
What you get for your subscription
- Bi-monthly national video conferenced events - with 6
events from February to December including Q&A's and access to event
DVDs and presentations where available
- Sus It Out - a bi-monthly e-Newsletter which provides a
briefing on group activities and sustainability issues
- Sustainability Matters - a fortnightly e-Newsletter which
canvasses a broader range of sustainability topics
- Opportunities to mix and share ideas with others as part of a
national special interest group in the growing area that is
'sustainability'
- Opportunities to be involved in the group committee or various group
projects
- Opportunities to enhance your CV
- Each presentation qualifies for up to 1.5 continuing professional
development hours.

Subscriptions
Annual subscription: January to December
Waged: $150 (including GST)
Unwaged: $75 (including GST)
Non-subscribers
Non-subscribers may attend individual presentations for $40 including
GST.

NZICA
Sustainability activities
NZICA itself is involved in a range of sustainability
initiatives.
Through the Group’s efforts, NZICA established the Sustainable
Development Reporting Committee (SDRC). To find out more about the
